USA Wrestling, the national governing body for wrestling in the United States, has signed MusclePharm Corporation as its exclusive official nutritional supplement provider.
The multi-year agreement is intended to help bring increased success for USA Wrestling athletes at Olympic and world levels. Developed at the MusclePharm Sports Science Center & Research Institute, the company’s sports nutrition products are formulated, tested and certified in an IRB-compliant facility, and safe and free of any banned substances.

“MusclePharm’s slogan, ‘Real Athletes. Real Science.’ fits perfectly with our goal of helping our athletes be their best through optimal training and nutrition,” said Rich Bender, executive director of USA Wrestling. “We appreciate the support that MusclePharm has pledged to our sport, and look forward to their involvement in our quest to make Team USA the best wrestling program on the planet.”

MusclePharm will be introduced to the wrestling community at the 2014 World Cup of Freestyle Wrestling, March 15-16, 2014, in Los Angeles, Calif., which will be streamed on the MusclePharm Facebook page. MusclePharm also will be featured at USA Wrestling events and digital platforms, featuring some of the top athletes in the world.

“We are fully committed to helping USA Wrestling’s athletes on their road to success, as they progress through their training leading up the 2015 World Wrestling Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and beyond,” said Brad Pyatt, chairman and CEO of MusclePharm. “We are pleased to partner with USA Wrestling and to help develop the next generation of athletes at a time when wrestling is experiencing a renaissance in popularity.”

Wrestling has established itself as one of the most successful sports within the U.S. Olympic program. Since the start of the modern Olympic Games in 1898, American wrestlers have won 129 Olympic medals, including 52 gold medals. Team USA has won World Team Titles in all three Olympic styles, including men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s.
